Libertarian

(A big guy, dressed as a private security guard, with a pistol strapped to his leg. The pistol should be a good deal larger than is necessary for a service sidearm.)

Hey! Yeah, you! Fuck you too! I don't have to fucking do that if I don't want to! That's right!

Can you believe that guy? I mean, really. This is a free country, isn't it? The constitution hasn't been suspended? Jesus, I didn't think so, but judging by that guy. Well, you never know. Fuckin' cancer on our country, guys like that. They want to just chain us down to their morality.

Look at this. This isn't uncalled for, is it? I mean, it's not like it's concealed. Everyone can see I'm armed. And it's not like it's brandished. The safety's on, and my holster is snapped closed on top of that. It's not gonna go off and no one can grab it. So what the fuck? I got a right to have it, and I wasn't bothering him with it.

I bet that guy gives cops shit for coming into his restaurant armed, he hates guns that much. Those kinds of values, that expectation that other people will just give up what they want and kow-tow to your demands, that's gonna ruin us as a nation. It's gonna take down our free will and make us into one mass of identical-thinking brainwashed drones that can only do what the government tells us to do. And they're gonna start it the same way Hitler started it, by taking away our guns.

It's gonna be the guns, then it's gonna be manufacturing and then the banks. They already started, you know? This bailout, it's really just the government's chance to socialize both of America's biggest industries. Once they control those, they can just roll over the little man. Next thing you know, they're gonna take our guns so we can't fight back when the Moslems come over and seize control of the government.

But we deserve it. I mean, we elected a Moslem, right? So we already said we wanted to live under their rule. Or you did. I didn't. I'm keeping my gun, and I'm stocking up on ammunition before they raise the price. It's my right. My right. And I'll use this gun to stop any attempt to rob me and my community of our individual rights.

Like take this for instance. I live up in a county that's trying to preserve its pristine wilderness. Because we see how you're just planting houses left and right, regardless of how many people actually need them, we decided that you have to have at least two acres of land to put up a building. We were protecting the land that made us want to live up there away from the city, right? That's fair, right?

I thought so. See, I knew you were a fair-minded guy. We got rights, as people and as communities, right? We gotta make sure to preserve the things we love from being bulldozed in the name of development and such.

So we also had a kind of an incident last summer. Same kind of thing. This family moved up from the city, real piece of work kind of people. It's bad enough kids are dropping their pants off their asses, but these people, even the parents were doing it. We don't want that up there. We don't want any fat ladies with thongs sticking up outta their pants and nipples poking out of their shirts, and we don't want any forty year old men with their pants around their knees showing off their drawers to everybody.

So we warned 'em. And it's not like we're racists or anything either, my neighbor's a Mexican fella and he didn't like this bunch a inner-city trash any better than the rest of us did. We told 'em, this is our community and we do what we do to protect it. All of your family is gonna have to pull their pants up or get out.

And boy, they got out. We made sure the house got a fair price. I even chipped in on it. Sure, the guy, he was sore. Said they'd spent a year looking for a house outside the city they could afford. But he couldn't stand against us, and he knew it. We just made it real clear, that he was violating our whole community's individual rights, and we weren't gonna put up with it.

And so we ran that trash right outta the county. For our freedom. It's our right, and we'd lose that ability to come together and force people like that to stop violating our rights if we didn't have these--

(Pats his gun.)

--strapped to our hips. They're a sign that we aren't gonna part with our other freedoms.
